long days

So let's see here. Time sure flies and things sure are crazy. Izzie is talking a TON. Mostly gibberish but there are some sentences flying out of her every once in a while. We've been sick the last few days which is terrible, but Scott has yet to catch anything. He's back to work and working hard. He did overtime last week.....plus schooling two nights, so needless to say we didn't see much of him. But this week is better. He turned 26 today. I can't believe it's been that long. I mean, I knew him back in high school and here we are. I don't know what else to put on here. A lot of things have been going on and I would like to share but I feel that they'd be too mundane. Oh get this, Monica Masog is finally getting hitched. wow. somday I might even walk down that isle with mr. mckinnon. Who the heck knows. but for the time being, Izzie no longer takes naps and is on the wilder side. she is discovering what she can and can't get away with. The garage is beautiful and cozy now. I can't wait to get the yard in order. Well it is time to go watch a movie while the kid is in bed and Scott's at school for another hour. WOO HOO!

the joy of not working

The holidays have come and gone and I can't believe it's a new year. Wow. Scott has been layed off since the week of Christmas. Stupid unemployment has to review his case (because he's an apprentice) and he won't get any checks for 4-6 weeks. LAME! I thought unemployment was supposed to help people. Anyway. He's been working like a maniac. He pulled 2 engines out and put one in all in 15 hours in one day. I can't believe it. He amazes me. He's also been working around the house. He began with hooking up the ice maker for the refrigerator which turned into tearing out the wall in the garage, re-plumming and re-wiring. Then he put a new wall up. I painted it. He put up a shelf above the washer and drier, layed carpet in the garage and made a cover for the hot water heater so it stays insulated and appealing to the eye. Also put up another shelf for shoes. We're making curtains for out there and pretty much just re-vamping the entire garage. WOW. Izzie's been a great help. She's also changing a bit. She doesn't really nap any more. She just has quiet time in her crib for a few hours. She likes and. She just talks and sings and jumps in there and sometimes she falls asleep. She's getting pretty big. She's also reaching perfection on her tricycle. I'm so proud of her. I'll post a load of pictures soon. Right now I've got to get the rest of the garage painted and try to clean up the mess or should I say multiple messes in the house. ugh.
